Hello! My name is Adam Ixer. I am passionate about nature and addressing the twin crises of biodiversity loss and climate change which threaten so many species and the world we live in.

About me

Ever since volunteering at Friends of the Earth working on a Bee Campaign I have been interested in bees (who doesn't love bumblebees!). I am also interested in a wide-range of taxa, including Lepidoptera (butterflies and moths) and I would love to learn more about fungi and the UK's reptiles and amphibians. I have recently become more interested in the organisms that live below-ground and the incredible diversity that is present in our soils. The surveying of bats is something that I would also love to gain more experience of!
